On Monday the 16th of September you are welcome on board from 5 PM. Once everybody is on board, the captain will welcome the crew and explain the safety rules and the life on board. We will also discuss the plans for this voyage and the weather forecast. We will spend the night in Hamburg and leave the next morning as soon as the sun rises. So, we do not have to sail on the twisty and fast flowing river Elbe in the dark.
There is plenty to see on the river, such as the large containerships that overtake or pass us. As soon as the water gets a bit wider, we will set sail. We pass Helgoland and the German and Dutch Frisian islands. We will sail to Texel and from there we will change our course and sail towards the south west. Friday evening, we will arrive in our homeport Rotterdam. If friends and family are picking you up from the ship, they are more than welcome to do so the next morning after breakfast. They can join us for coffee, and you can show them around the ship.
This description is meant to give you an impression of how a voyage could look like. Depending on wind and weather conditions the travel plan could be altered, however we always try to sail as much as possible.
