Only a few months per year it is possible to reach this part of (East)Greenland by ship. This is because the ice has to melt to make way.
One of the highlights of Greenland is ScoresbySund, the biggest fjord system in the world. The fjords covering an area of about 38,000 square kilometers. Ittoqqortoormiit it the only settlement around, with less than 500 inhabitants.
There is plenty of time to enjoy the scenic views of the fjords, bays and animal life. With a little bit of luck, we will encounter seals, Atlantic walruses, Arctic birds and hopefully also Bowhead whales.
